Psychotherapist in Sydney

Hi, I'm Nina

I’m a registered Psychotherapist helping you live more fully and free of addiction and the lingering effects of trauma. Helping you experience true healing beyond just symptom relief.

With over 7 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I am committed to guiding individuals and couples on their journey towards healing, growth, and self-discovery. My passion lies in addressing a range of challenges including addictions, developmental trauma, and eating disorders. As a trauma-informed therapist, I approach each client’s story with sensitivity and understanding, creating a safe space for exploration of the past and living more meaningfully in the present.

I believe in the power of a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, where individuals can explore their experiences, emotions, and patterns in order to create positive change. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, allowing clients to feel heard and understood as we work together towards their goals.

In addition to my individual and couples work, I have a wealth of experience in group facilitation. I currently run a Women’s Relationships Recovery Group at South Pacific Private, providing a space for connection, shared wisdom, and mutual support on the path to recovery.

I offer both in-person sessions at Kings Cross, Sydney, as well as the convenience of Telehealth, ensuring that you can access the support you need in a way that suits your lifestyle and preferences.

How I Got Here

I embarked on this path after a career in Finance in London and New York. Driven by a passion for helping others, I transitioned to become a Psychotherapist. I have worked as a Program Therapist and Group Facilitator at several public and private treatment centres in Sydney.

Seven years ago, I opened my Private Practice, focusing on relationships, addiction, fertility challenges, disordered eating, and anxiety.

Values

At the heart of my practice are five core values that shape every interaction and guide every session:

  • Empathy: I believe in the power of compassion and understanding as essential foundations for healing. Your experiences and emotions are valued and met with empathy throughout our therapeutic journey.
  • Authenticity: Authenticity creates a safe and genuine space for exploration and transformation. You can expect me to bring my real self.
  • Connection: The connection between therapist and client is one of the key indicators of positive change in therapy. I aim to be attuned, available, and an active participant in your process.
  • Continuous Learning: I am committed to ongoing professional development and regular clinical supervision.
  • Person-Centred: You are at the centre of your therapeutic experience. Your needs, preferences, and goals shape the course of our sessions.
